Criminal Defense
A criminal charge is not a conviction, and the time between the two is when the case is actually won or lost. Evidence gets suppressed, charges get reduced, and cases get dismissed — but almost never by accident.
I have been defending criminal cases in Indiana courts for seventeen years, with substantial motion practice and trial experience.
Areas of representation
Operating While Intoxicated
First offenses and repeat charges, including refusals and elevated BAC allegations. An OWI runs on two tracks at once: the criminal case and your driving privileges.
Expungement
Clearing an old arrest or conviction under Indiana's Second Chance Law. Conviction expungement generally has a lifetime filing limit, with exceptions, so a complete record review matters.
Felonies and Misdemeanors
Level 6 through Level 1 felonies and Class A, B, and C misdemeanors — drug offenses, theft and property crimes, and offenses against persons.
Infractions
Including traffic matters where a conviction carries license consequences.
Driving Privileges
I address the license consequences that arise within a criminal case I am handling. I do not accept standalone BMV reinstatement matters.
Before You Speak With Anyone Else
Call before you talk to anyone else. The most damaging thing in most criminal cases is a statement the client gave voluntarily, believing cooperation would help.
In the first conversation I will tell you what you are actually charged with, what the realistic range of outcomes looks like, and what the next thirty days hold. Not a sales pitch — an honest read on where you stand.
